Cassandra Monique Batie known professionally as Andra Day is an American R&B and soul singer as well as songwriter and actress. The singer has received various accolades including a Grammy Award a Children's and Family Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award along with nominations for the Academy Award. Andra Day, an accomplished singer-songwriter with roots in gospel music as well as the blues, who also has a flair for contemporary music is a skilled performer and a talented song-writer. Andra has been born Cassandra Monique Batie on Edmonds Washington. Following her childhood with her family in San Diego and surrounding areas, she began performing in worship and was enrolled in The School of Creative and Performing Arts. She leaned towards contemporary R&B as well as pop and jazz after graduating from school but eventually was drawn back to classical soul singers and jazz who she heard about when she was a child. Kai Millard Morris caught her performance and gave some of Day's music to Stevie Wonder. Motown legendary Adrian Gurvitz was introduced to Day by the Motown legend. It featured the track Rise Up which has become an international song of the social justice movement. Day was awarded the album two Grammy nominations for the album which included Best R&B Album. The United States vs. Billie Holiday, a concept-album featuring the legendary jazz vocalist's existence, debuted in 2019. She also starred in The United States vs. Billie Holiday, a film that tells the story of Holiday. Andi Matichak is an American actress. Her debut came in the film Halloween as Allyson following her appearance in numerous television shows like Orange Is the New Black (Orange is the New Black) Park Avenue (666) Park Avenue (666 Park Avenue) and Blue Bloods and Orange is the new black. Andi Matichak is an American actress who was born on 03 May 1994 in Framingham Massachusetts, United States of America.
