Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is an Mexican American performer, singer and actress. Her mother raised her in the USA she was subject to many racial slurs and made her feel being a bit unpopular. If she attended school contests and received great praise for her performance when she was in the ninth grade she began to feel more confident. It not only boosted her confidence but also changed the direction in which she went on to pursue her professional career. She was a graduate of the New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. At the age of 23 she made her debut at the Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films in You've got Mail. The biggest accomplishment of her career occurred when she played The Lady of The Lake on Spamalot's original Broadway production. Not only did she receive the Tony Award, but her performance was also highly praised by the critics. Following that, she was cast as Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her gain more fame. Also, she is a well-known performer and has published an extended version of her play. In addition, she's an activist who is active for LGBT rights.
